Abstract Azaleas
I used two colors of clay to create the base of these earrings to mimic the natural variation in color in the center of azaleas. I then pressed azaleas from my garden into the clay to impose a texture. I dusted the earrings with a pearl mica powder and added a sash of textured silver leaf to add shine and another layer of texture. The end result is striking and one of a kind! They measure roughly 3 inches long by 2.5 inches wide. Due to the handmade nature of these earrings, each pair will contain variations.
